The night begins at the shop, where we gear up our kayaks and head out to launch our boats onto the Mississippi. On the water we work on strokes and get comfortable with the boats. Once the guides sense the group is ready to go, we paddle north. Enjoying the movement and the sights and sounds, our paddlers barely register the significant physical exercise they’re enduring. Appetite worked up, we’ll phone in to assure our dining venue is ready for us. After a leisurely supper of great tasting food, spirited beverage (in moderation) and animated conversation with new and old friends, the group reconvenes at the river for the twilight/evening paddle back to the inner city under a star-lit sky and in the reflection of the illuminated skyline. For some this will be a romantic evening; for others just simply out of this world. Exercise in the fresh night air, appetite well satisfied, this is truly a unique adventure right here in downtown Minneapolis! And who says we're not the #1 ranked FUN city in the nation? Join us for a night to remember!
The plan is to meet at our shop at 120 3rd Ave N. If cell phones, or camera accompany paddler, it's recommended to stow in a zip lock baggie, or dry bag. If you don't have a bag, we'll use some sort of baggie to fix you up. Any questions, please call, or e-mail. We can always take on additional paddlers -- just let us know!
Here are some suggested items to bring:
• Wicking clothing (if possible)
• Shoes you don't mind getting wet (wet booties are available for rent $5, or buy $29.95)
• Dry bag (bags are available for rent $2.50, or buy $15.95)
• Change of clothes
• Water
• Sun Block
• Hat
• Sun Glasses

Parking is best on 4th Av N between 1st St N and River Rd -- non-metered. There's for-fee parking lot located off of 2nd Av N -- behind Ribnick Furs and the Federal Reserve -- again between 1st N and River Rd.

Tour cost includes: kayak, paddle, personal flotation device, headlamps, roller carrier, and host/guide. (Cost of the meal is not included in price. Anticipate an additional $25-$45 per person.)
